CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

ATHLETE INFORMATION

Nationality: USA

Age: 34

Profession: PSIA National Alpine Team

Hobbies: Horseback riding, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, reading, traveling, hiking.

What is your biggest passion: Travel and learning something new.

How you got into skiing: I grew up skiing from the age I could walk, Dad had me on snow. I grew up in our local ski program in Big Sky, ski class was my parent’s day care.  I continued skiing through high school and college, ski raced NCAA for the Bobcats, Montana State University.  When I finished racing, I felt an emptiness or void.  My competitive ski days were over, yet I still found myself wanting to be on the hill much of the day.  I started teaching skiing, from there I worked my way up through the industry and eventually made it on to the PSIA National Alpine Team.

Why do you ski? I ski because Skiing is a sport you do for life and life is about constantly being challenged and finding growth through those challenges.  Every day I ski I learn something new.  Whether I am skiing deep powder, seeking the perfect turn or exploring new terrain skiing is my life and my outlet.

What the Women to Women project means to you:  This is a unique project which I am hoping will bring together women who love women’s events and trips, but also bring in the women who are slightly skeptical of women’s only events and brands. This project is testing the limits of the women’s industry with higher level gear tested and created by women.  There will always be room for change, but I am happy Blizzard and Tecnica decided to accept this challenge and create a place for women to grow and seek out change.
