CARBON FIBER

NOT ALL CARBON FIBER ARE THE SAME. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF CARBON FIBER AND BLIZZARD USES DIFFERENT TYPES FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES IN DIFFERENT MODELS.

BI-DIRECTIONAL CARBON

Bi-directional carbon fiber is integrated into the rockered portion of the tips and tails of the ski. Carbon reduces the weight while weaving two layers of carbon in a bi-directional pattern increases the strength.

UNI-DIRECTIONAL CARBON

Found in our Zero G series, uni-directional carbon is where all the fibers run in one direction resulting in a carbon fiber that is lighter and thinner, yet still super strong. When laid flat it is ideal for managing strength in one direction. However, when wrapped it becomes incredibly strong in multiple planes. This material is what makes the Zero G skis so light and strong at the same time.
